Someone donated a bunch of tatting stuff on one of the Tatting groups.  I won some of the stash.

  3. Congratulations on your win! This is a classic book featuring the designs of Marion T. Leyds. However, I'm disappointed that DMC didn't make Marion's name more prominent. At least the book when listed on the internet does include her name. She also designed all the items in Festive Tatting, another classic DMC book from the '80s. She was one of those mysterious souls who kept tatting alive and came up with eye-appealing and useful items during the 'drought' period of tatting when everyone assumed it was a dying art and soon to expire! Yet somehow, we know nothing about her - at least I haven't been able to find anything! Fortunately DMC published these books and made them available to the craft stores in 1989, just when I was learning to tat. They also use the number/dash system, which I found to be a major improvement in tatting notation. Diagrams were still 'rare', but this notation was easier for me to read than the old style.

I am sure you will embellish these designs in your usual artistic way!
